What are the Suitable Modeling for Sintered Stone Stair Steps

Stairs are an important part of interior decoration. We generally choose natural marble for stairs. With the popularity of Sintered Stone slabs, Sintered Stone slab stairs have become one of the best choices of customers.

Sintered Stone slab has become another preferred material for stairs due to its good features of stain resistance, abrasion resistance, and high hardness. However, the Sintered Stone slab stairs have their own shortcomings. What shapes we suggest to make as sintered stone stairs and which shapes are not recommended. Let’s show you one by one below.

Sintered Stone stairs suitable modeling 1:

The step surfaces turn to ladder surface at a right angle.

This method is the most popular way of making stairs with Sintered Stone slabs. Simple and modern, it can show the texture of the Sintered Stone slab.

Sintered Stone stairs suitable modeling 2:

The step surface is turned to a small right angle as a laminated edge, and the bottom gap can be used as a light belt or not.

If the bottom gap does not use as a light belt, then the laminated edge  generally will be 30-50mm. In this way, the shape is close to the effect of natural marble stairs. If the bottom gap uses as a light belt, then the laminated edge generally will be 30-80mm.  Because the hardness of the Sintered Stone slab is high, so there is no need to add artificial stone under the step surface like natural marble.

Sintered Stone stairs suitable modeling 3:

The step surface is turned to a large right angle as a laminated edge, and the bottom gap can be used as a light belt or not.

This modeling is a combination of modeling 1 and 2, which has both a large vertical angle elevation and layered look. Generally, the laminated edge is about 40-60mm.

The stairs have surfaces on two sides.

Sintered Stone slab is not suitable for use as a side surface is because the texture of the Sintered Stone slab only exists on the surface. If the cross-section of the Sintered Stone slab has the same color as the surface but without pattern and texture, the overall appearance will be affected.

The step surface is arc-shaped or the railing position is arc-shaped.

Without patterns on the side, curved steps or curved glass balustrades will highlight the blank of the Sintered Stone slab side and the seam joints, so it is not recommended.

Therefore, Sintered Stone slabs are more suitable for light and luxurious stairs. Next, let’s enjoy some case pictures of Sintered Stone slab stairs.
